Little Bugger – First Look

I’ve been working on my first game Little Bugger which is a simple, creepy, bug squashing game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. I thought I’d post a few screenshots of the game as it is so far (which is very rough). It’s hard to get a sense of the game without movement or sound but you get the idea.

The objective of the game is to squash as many bugs as you can before the maximum number of bugs escape your grasps. During the game you’ll get Boss Bugs (if you get enough points) which you need to hit multiple times to kill. Once you do they’ll spawn their children which you can kill to ramp up your score. There are also phantom bugs which are really hard to see. Kill these to reduce the number of escaped bugs and bring down the bar to prolong your play time and get a higher score.

You can also enter your username in the options menu which will allow you to have your high score posted online and in the in-game high score menu so you can compete with the rest of the world.
